"There's no hurry" to get into any posture, to do it right, to be good at it, to improve, to be more bendy or be stronger, to move to the next posture, to come out of resting...because none of that is what it's about.
The bending and the stretching and the strength are all side products of the 'enquiry' - the 'being' - the delving into 'the self'. This stuff can't be hurried. So as a teacher, I hope to encourage you to practice with awareness, rather than ambition.
Which leads on to "Don’t worry" - about what it looks like, what you look like doing it, what you're wearing etc. What matters is that you listen to your body and learn to tune in to how it feels.
I'm keen on the breath being an integral part of yoga, and in regulating the nervous system, to bring us into a calm state. Practices are learnt over time and become more and more accessible in every day life. And that's the point of why I teach what I do, to help you access more comfort and ease in your body and peace in your mind.
